In case you missed it, ESPN offers a full replay of Cal's 16-minute press conference with Coach Charmin Smith, senior Marta Suarez, and graduate students Ioanna Krimili and Michelle Onyiah. It was on streaming-only channel ACCNX, which is available if you get the ACC Network channel from your TV provider. To watch, select your provider and enter your login credentials.

If you don't have access, the ACC Digital Network on YouTube has posted two short clips, one of Coach Smith and one of Onyiah.

Thanks for sharing. Well spoken Bears per usual. Meanwhile, I guess the ACC doesn't have the funds for proper lighting?

I saw it as a subtle tribute to PAC-12 After Dark.

I had to turn my computer volume up to 70 from my normal of 27 to barely be able to hear. It could be my hearing, however. I'm getting my first hearing exam of my life on October 29 at Kaiser Permanente. The hearing in my right ear is having difficulty discerning all the words in conversations. Volume is not the issue.
Where was Cal picked in the ACC on Media Day? Bears have been picked toward the bottom (10th, 11th or 12th) of the Pac 12 in recent years.

Did anyone get anything new out of interviews? GO BEARS!

Yeah, I had to crank up the volume as well for these press conferences. Fortunately, the ACC has provided transcripts. For the Cal women, here's an HTML version and a PDF version.

No preseason poll or individual honors have been announced yet. Last year the ACC published them the day after their (2-day) event concluded, so I would expect to see something on Thursday or Friday.

S 71, I used to work at Kaiser and got my hearing aides long ago. they do me no good at games because everything is too loud. didn't wear them as often during Covid as i could just turn up the volume. You will probably lose hearing in the higher registers. When i taught music to preschoolers, it helped me pick up their higher voices.

Thanks for the transcripts! My hearing isn't that great either.
