I have two reports of an open practice. One says November 2nd and one says November 17th. Which is correct.

Both.

I believe November 2nd is the annual Block Party open to the public hosted by Cal WBB. Open practice, meet the team/coaches, food and beverages, music/activities afterwards out on Spieker Plaza.

November 17th is for Golden Way members only and an RSVP is required.

The open practice will be three weeks from this Saturday. I believe that the team's exhibition game is on Halloween, Oct 31st. Hopefully, between those two early events, fans can grasp some idea of how the team will play this season. Which three guards will likely start and the identities of the second group of backcourt players that will see significant action.

When I look at how difficult the pre-conference schedule is, I always stop myself before discussing it publicly because i realize that I have no idea what the Bears will look like this season. The other day I reviewed Stanford's roster, and I came to a similar conclusion-they are so different than previous Cardinal teams that I have no idea how or who will play in their nine player rotations.

Finally, this will be commonplace with the majority of women's basketball teams in 2024-25 I would suspect. I can hardly wait to solve these mysteries floating around in my head. GO BEARS!

Or an opportunity for parents to bring their kids in costume to see a game, be among other kids their age, win prizes for their costumes and get treats. Maybe even a "Thriller" dance party on the court at halftime.

That's how I would promote it. I believe it is also free admission. Goal here is to build fan support.

Not so horrible, is it?

Good grief! No research skills or email skills??

I thought you were the one with the "report" of an open practice on that date.

I don't believe it has been officially announced yet. Last year it was from 10 am - Noon.

Maybe, but people including families and kids are so busy on Halloween

I asked if that was true. I gave a date it could happen but no time was mentioned. I'm a low tech man in a high tech world. Can't always be as smart as you.

You were a great optometrist and founded and owned a very successful Montessori school. Ignore the deprecating comments from somebody who probably didn't accomplish anywhere near as much.
