I would love to be able to see this NEW team play.

Btw, I see that the next two games are on ACCNX? I have only watched the opening football game vs UC Davis on that channel on tv. My wife had to help me download an app to get it. Can I click on the ACCNX online to be able to see the games on my computer? It would be nice if the process is simple. GO BEARS!

It's apparent that the Cal online service is no longer available and that the exhibition game will not be seeable for fans that are not in attendance. The exhibition games have been televised previously. Why is next Thursday's game vs Idaho State being played at 11am? I'm retired but I trade the stock market every day until 1 pm.

I have decided that I am not going to provide analysis & forecast each game this season. The logistics are too difficult from several different perspectives. It used to take me 1 1/2 to 2 hours to do it but I foresee it being a more arduous process this season.

The School Haas Rock game comes early this season.

I'm guessing they had difficulty scheduling it later in the season given the new ACC schedule.

The exhibition game is meaningless. Don't fret over it. Real games start Monday.

Wow, that's next week!

I usually support this event and someone from the athletic dept contacted me about it, but for a number of reasons I haven't gotten back to them as I just assumed I had time

maybe it's not too late

I think because it's a "scrimmage" that official stats are not kept/published. The stat scoreboard was even off.....

Well, as I said, as a courtesy I think it's customary to not have stats. Cal is D1 playing a D2 school in scrimmage/exhibition game....if Vanguard wants to post, then fine because their rules are different, but I think Cal did what was expected. This is nothing new for any of the Cal exhibition games I've attended over the years...the stats scoreboard was dark too, but obviously the teams had folks there keeping stats for the refs/teams just didn't post/publish per rules.

This is the rule for practice scrimmages which this essentially was....

"No. An official score and/or statistics for the practice scrimmage may not be kept. However, an institution may keep score and/or statistics for private use. The institution may not post the score and/or statistics in a newspaper, on the participating institutions' Web sites, conferences' Web sites or any other location. In addition, an institution may not provide the score and/or any statistics to any type of media outlet."

While this was an open scrimmage, I think the same rules apply for Cal being the D1 team.

"Division I programs have the choice to have a closed scrimmage with another Division I school or have an open exhibition game against a Division II, Division III, NAIA or even a foreign opponent. Division I programs are allowed to have two preseason games that do not count and it is up to each program how they wish to use the two games."
