Sad commentary on how quickly these new college league realignments can affect even good programs. Oregon State lost today to Minnesota 73-38. Sela did play 20 minutes and had 7 rebounds and 4 points. OSU was outscored in the final quarter 21-2.

I do feel sorry for the Beavers and blame U$S, UCLA, UO and UW.

I blame mostly UCLA - if they stay then we poach SDSU and carry on. But I guess I can blame all of the schools for the Pac-12 media situation.

Rueck rebuilt the Beavs literally from the ground up, and I can't help feeling irritated with the players who left for what they believed would be better things. Now he gets to start all over again.* Any chance that Cal might eventually join the West Coast Conference, rather than traipsing around the country?

*I note that Deven Hunter and Sydney Wiese are now assistant coaches; I hope they're good recruiters.

Sydney Wiese played with her heart on her sleeve! She was the reason I became interested in Oregon State WBB. Scott Rueck is a wonderful coach and individual. He is a terrific recruiter. Watched the Oregon State football team beat Washington State in a thriller at Corvalis yesterday! GO BEAVERS!!
