I didn't understand why Ornella got so little run her senior year at Cal. She was thrown into the deep end in her freshmen year because we had almost no guards (we played two walk ons extensively that year), and she had injury issues in her sophomore and junior years, but she looked healthy in her senior year.

She could always shoot and what team can't use another shooter?

New coaching staff at Pepperdine this season. Most have Pac-12 experience including the Head Coach, Katie Faulkner, from UW. So, they may have been familiar with Ornela.

In last weekend's game against California Baptist, Ornela came off the bench, played 31 minutes and scored 27 points!!
