Should be a reality check for Cal and the other teams in Palm Springs. Cal, Vanderbilt and Michigan State are all 6-0, and Arizona is 6-1 (lost to Northern Arizona). Both Vanderbilt and Michigan State got votes in the most recent Top 25 poll, and are just outside it...I guess you could say Michigan State is 27th and Vanderbilt 29th. By the way, both Gonzaga and Auburn were just outside the top 25 when Cal beat them, and Oregon moved up two slots (to 21st) after beating Auburn.

I am most interested in seeing Michigan State. Their coach, Robyn Fralick, has a system that has been putting up some unusually good statistics.
In her last year at Bowling Green, her team went 30-7 while putting up the most field goal attempts in the country, the seventh highest number of steals per game in the country, and the 11th best assist/TO ratio in the country. They had five players who averaged double digit scoring.
Last year, she was able to move MSU up to 4th in the BigTen and an NCAA tournament appearance with similar statistics. And this year against initial weak competition, MSU is averaging 96.3 ppg, with an assist/TO ratio of 1.71 and 16.8 steals per game.
