Michigan State just took down Vanderbilt...so the four teams are now 26-3.

Spartans had another dominant 4th quarter.

Good tournament - not really any weak teams.

Was there a tournament team and all that? If so, which Cal player made it?

My loss not watching the Cal game today. I was feeling bummed out after yesterday's loss, and am not an Arizona fan. I feel badly for the players when they loose a close game, especially, after being up by fourteen points. So sorry I missed Michelle's Big Game! Happy for the BEARS!!!

I've not seen an all-tourney team posted.

The tournament does have a website, so they may post later?

I have tp remember these are not super humans that we're watching...and I am also guilty of being disappointed when they lose a 4Q lead. But after seeing the Spartans do it to Vanderbilt, it does help a bit.

Cal is in good position provided the players and coaches learn from these experiences, whether that experience is positive or negative.

Watching Michelle's reaction in the postgame interview was awesome (when she learned of her career-high scoring effort). And the piggy back ride into the sunset was pretty funny...although I was thinking 'please don't give our star post player back problems, Charmin!'

Nothing useful. MSU says, "With 22 points yesterday and 24 today, Ayrault earned Acrisure Classic MVP honors."

I'm assuming that Michelle or Lulu won a place on the tournament team, if any.

Shout out to Michelle with a career high 25 points!

Credit the bench for getting us back into the game in the 2nd quarter and ahead by six at halftime.

A second shout out to Gisella Maul who came off the bench and scored 10 points including a clutch 3-pointer!

Sidebar: Let's back off on some of the criticism of Kayla Williams. She hardly played last season at U$C. Charmin has given her new life and she knows her role. I'm a big fan!!

Williams controlled the game for the Bears. She had a really good game and was matched up against AZ best guard.

Maul looks good. And when we got Noble back that'd be great too. When is Langarita expected to be ready to go?

Our depth right now is too dependent on unproven freshmen but that might get better during the season.
Word is in January.

I see the freshmen growing in confidence. Abigor and Donez, in particular. Zahra King will get there too by conference time. She had a nice layup and played some good defense.

Lulu gets tomahawked on drive to the hoop and the ref just looks at it. Horrible. And Shocky , just because there's a game where the refs aren't calling it even, it doesn't necessarily mean the have a "bias" against one team. Sometimes they're just plain bad.
That was definitely a missed call.

cal's pg just intuitionally tried to run threw the wildcat post player causing her to fall backwards & almost become concussed

that would be a technical with most refs, the bears lucky to only get a common foul
I disagree. It was a flop IMO. No one falls with the upper part of one's body first like that. Kayla didn't hit her hard enough for that type of reaction. I wouldn't have called anything there.
that's a dumb azz take, the wildcat wuz in concussion protocol the rest of the game & never returned

u might need to get to america's best if u thought that violent collision ignited by kayla wuz a flop...but if ur just a homer who thinks the refs are corrupt on every questionable call that's ur prerogative
I see. I disagree with you so you resort to name calling. Interesting. Says more about you and the strength of your point of view than anything else. Yes, I root for the Bears, but I call it like I see it. I think the issue with refs (in general) is that their skills have not kept up with the athleticism of the athletes, especially on the women's side. They saw a reaction and felt like they needed to make a call. Good for the AZ player. She got the call. But it still doesn't change my opinion.

Just because someone is in concussion protocol doesn't mean it was a foul. Watch the play again. Kayla did not hit her THAT hard.

When it happened, I thought it was a clear offensive foul on the AZ player on the play when Lulu hit her head. When they showed the replay in slow mo, it was a lot closer than I thought. In fact, they could have called blocking and it wouldn't have surprised me, nor would I have had much of an argument.

So glad you found this. I set to record on Sling but did not happen. Scoured YouTube with no luck. Fun to watch and see Michelle in Beast Mode.
