First half had a lot of problems with Green and their center. Charmin took Marta and put her on their point gaurd (Green who was really good and she shut her down). Michele came back and shut down their center. And it was lights out in the 3rd quarter. Great defensive decision by Charmin.

Their leading scorer scored 7 points and our leading scorer scored 4 points.

Was hardly anyone there from Alabama. Figured there would be more.

I was disappointed with the attendance. I guess winning doesn't matter. Some people still won't grab a seat.

Saw my friends who went to Palm Springs to watch Cal play. Told them i saw them on TV. Learned from them that Jason Kidd has a high school series of games at Haas on the 14th. Don't know the teams.

I noticed that Alabama was a poor free throw shooting team coming in and they didn't disappoint. But who would figure Krimili would shoot poorly down the stretch.

Alabama plays defense like Stanford does in that they don't get turnovers but want to make you shoot a poor FG %. Each team had 4 steals.

Good post. And yes, it's time for all of the Charmin bashers to step up and admit that just maybe- their constant criticism of Charmin was a bit premature. Yes, I know she's been here for a while, but this game proved that when she has solid talent on the floor she can coach with anybody. This game felt like a significant victory for the team and the program.

It also reflects well on a coach when it is obvious the team is having fun playing together and they have each other's backs.

Great win for coach and players. I hope local fans respond and show up for games. The conference is going to be rough.
