Big Ten 8, SEC 7 & ACC 6 for 21 of the Top 25!
Great. I had checked earlier but it hadn't been posted yet.
Alabama is now #26.
Michigan State is up 2 spots to #15 after their win over #22 Iowa yesterday.

The coaches' poll today has Cal at 27, which is perhaps more realistic; I tend to trust the coaches' long-term point of view at least as much as I do the sports writers'.

Coaches are "protecting" those 7 SEC schools.
Ole Miss is behind us in the AP poll but one spot ahead in the Coaches poll. They haven't really beaten anybody notable. Their three losses are to the SC Trojans, UConn and NC State.

Interesting that most of those coaches are from schools outside the bigger conferences, I guess to avoid potential conflicts of interest.
