Charmin's postgame comments from Calbears.com:

On Clemson's defense"I think they were just really aggressive, and you could tell they had a sense of urgency, and they really wanted to win this game, and I didn't think we matched their intensity level. It was a poor shooting night for us, for sure. But this is road basketball in the ACC and we've got to be better."

On learning from this"Sure you can learn from the loss, but I don't think we needed to. I think this team has had some adversity and been able to pull out wins. I wish we could have done the same today. But all we can do is just regroup and try to be ready on Sunday. I expect us to be ready to play and know that we need to fight for a split on this road trip."

I really don't know what happened in this game except that McQueen won the game for Clemson. We had no defensive answer for her, and allowed her to pull up and shoot short jumpers all game. We were really late to adjust for that, and Noble on D wasn't the answer either

With all due respect, you can watch one half of basketball and conclude that one team has "far greater talent" than the other one? Did you even watch Clemson's game Sunday against NCState? Based on your point of reference, I think your decision to hold off a couple of years before you watch another Cal Women basketball game is a wise one. You might even consider extending that to three or four years.
I may do just that, but be aware I also watched every minute of the win over Stanfurd and the same team played a near perfect game against a very good opponent. We had way more talent than Clemson and started out moving away just as we should have and then looked deer in the headlights as the refs made multiple keep the Tigers in the game calls and gave off the "we was robbed" body language. And then downhill from there.

My bad. You actually watched a total of two games this year. And the other one was against furd when our team played basically a flawless game. And the supposedly "we was robbed" body language issue, (a real important factor) was enough for you to decide you would be checking out and return in two years. Sounds good, look forward to hearing from you in 2027.

Absolutely ugly for a top 25 team. Watched first half and saw a team that should dominate, shirk, feel jobbed on the road with calls and feed into all that goes with bad calls and appear whiny. Had obligations in second half but glad I didnt watch 10-15 points better with a 12 point loss. Will visit WBB in another couple of years. Love womens soccer & tennis, but this is not up to speed
SMU is better than Clemson! Checked on on TV as the women were doing so well only to get a dash of cold water
No question it was an ugly loss. I hated the Michigan St loss more, honestly.
There have been some incredible wins this year (so far), so I'm "not leaving for 2 years," and in fact, I'm more invested than I have been in a long time over women's hoops. I don't think I can get to a game during the season, but we will see where the tournament takes them, as the fans remaining will root to find out.
I hope your time away from Cal women's basketball is a good one...bye.

I couldn't watch the game but two things stood out to me in the stats: First, we shot 50% in the 1st half and 30% in the second. Did the defense change or did we look tired or did we just get cold?

Second, Clemson shot 19 free throws and we shot 7. Was that us being slow or Clemson getting some home cooking?

First issue: A little of each
Second issue: A little of each

Actually, said "friend" is wanting me to come to game, as he gives decent dollars to the team's NIL...he promised that this loss isn't chasing him away from the program for two years!!
