This is not about her play.
She is the most joyous of all the players and that is saying something. She talks to the officials before the game. She is the most animated when the starting lineups are announced.

At the end of the game, all the players come by and high five the lower fans. but yesterday, michele picked up a 4 year old and carried them with her. Hope this child remembers this. She picked up the child from a couple at the end zone where the band plays. She took him all the way thru the high fives. This is not the first time i have seen her take a child in her lap. Two years ago on senior day, she had a boy on her lap during the ceremonies who I believe was Charmin's partner's kid.

We will miss her contagion. Everyone should be there on senior day to wish her goodbye.

And from the class of recruits that year I remember watching the video of Charmin talking to all three of them at their homes and of the big three who were going to change things around- only Michelle remained a loyal Cal Bear!

Was just thinking of that video when I started reading post. Recall Michelle just had this energy about her

I echo this completely. My kids (12 year old son, 8 year old daughter) absolutely adore her and she is such a great model of an actual STUDENT ATHLETE. She is all that makes Cal sports great and I genuinely am saddened thinking about a 2025-2026 roster that doesn't include her. Thank you for posting this. It is so utterly true.

There's no doubt, that regardless of whether Michelle's post-Cal life includes basketball or not, she will be a success at whatever she decides to do. She is a true winner.

She might make my all-time favorite Cal women's hoops team along with Ashley Walker, Eliza Pierre, Cynthia Cooke and Brittney Boyd. Strike the might from that first sentence. That's my starting five with Mia Kuusisto, Penina Davidson, Layshia Clarendon, Jackie Lear and Jennifer Brandon coming off the bench.

My starting five all time favorites: Jackie Lear, Penina Davidson, Boyd, Michelle, and for her incredible tenacity Kristine Anigwe...Cowling off the bench.

I love the way Michelle represents the program and the University. Best I can remember.

For tenacity, enthusiasm, energy, and obvious joy I include Brittany Boyd and Gennifer Brandon among my all-time favorites.

And I have to mention Gabby Green, our best power forward who played point guard.
