A few thoughts

one of Michelle's best games ... scoring, rebounding, defending, passing ... she played smart without fouling, but was impressed with her pass outs resulting in open shots/scores

Lulu needs to stop those over the top passes ... 3 turnovers in a few minutes and none of the 3 passes were close

in the last 2-1/2 minutes we missed 4 FTs. We got the margin down to 6. With those 4 FTs it would have been 2, and Lulu had a wide open 3

Bears were down 12 about 2-1/2 minutes yet actually could have won the game

Late in the game when we amped up our defense it changed things. Got me thinking, since teams are over extending against us maybe we should do a little more of that on our defensive end. If we make our opponents work a little more when they have the ball it might even out the playing field level. I think we have enough adequate bench players to try. And to that point, I really think that Gabby's minutes should be increased. She only played three minutes against Louisville, she should be on the court more often.

iirc, there was also a stretch with under 5mins to go where we let Louisville kill a lot of time off the clock and we didn't initiate plays/shots off quicke - no sense of urgency until the late flurry

Once Charmin has them review the game film as you have done HD, they will be kicking themselves all of the way to South Bend. Opportunities missed. What could have been.

A learning experience for the next time.

Finish the season strong, Bears!! First off, give Notre Dame all they can handle.

Go Bears!!

Sidebar: The Bears toured Churchill Downs yesterday and had lunch there as shown on social media.

They better learn how to split or pass out of or ahead of the high pressure double team at the top of the arc because they are going to see that over and over again. Krimili did a couple nice step through and pass into the post at the start of the game but then stopped. Michelle was open many times in the post if the entry came sooner.

For those who watched it, and saw the rows of empty seats and sparse sections…did it look like the 7093 they claim attended?

Basketball seating capacity for the KFC Yum! Center is 22,090.
So, I guess that would account for all of the rows of empty seats and sparse sections.

Thanks. Still, It did look to me like it was more than one out of every 3 seats empty. Oh well

And I want to mention that I thought the officiating in both the Pitt and Louisville games was the best we've seen in the ACC games this year. They let the players play, stopped it when it got too rough, and reduced the silly traveling calls that plagued all the teams this year.
