As for the women's hoop team, I don't really dislike them, its just that Laettner wrecked it all and I'll never understand why he was added to the Dream Team. In fact, they shouldn't have added a college player at all, it should have just been the Dream Team.

Laettner was added to be another "practice body," who would not be complaining about playing time. Now the Olympic team is even a bigger honor, and more likely to find guys that are just happy to be there. I agree. Barring crazy upsets seeds 7 through 10 will have to beat a 1 or 2 to get to the second weekend. I'd rather be 11 through 14 than 7 through 10.
