Than watch it on TV.

1. A chance to applaud these marvelous players one last time for all they have done for us. They can't hear you from the TV.

2. Great to see the seniors families.

3. When they stood for the national anthem, they played the Greek and Spanish national anthems before ours. was quite moving.

4. A chance to say goodbye to others who made the live experience better than TV. First was a goodbye to the Cal dance tam seniors. My favorite is the young African American male who dances like a women. He is sensational and I will miss him.

5. Goodbye to the seniors of the Cal band. Nothing like the Straw hat Band for entertainment.

6. A special good bye to the male practice players who helped mold this team.

7. Very good crowd. Over 3,000. My watch went off twice saying it was too loud in there.

8. surprise of the day was when I was standing in line at the concession stand. Saw a young woman with San Ramon Valley Shirt. Told her that they really pulled a big upset against Accalanies. Asked her if she was there and she said she played in the game. and her sister was the walkon from SRV. Sofia Bowles. Nice to know one high scool likes us.

9. Watching the team, I was amazed how it came together. No one knew Lulu. Marta was an unknown (although those that attended the first practice knew she was good).Krimili was a great shooter but i didn't know her when she was at USF. Kayla, was not well known from USC. Michele was a favorite but seem to underachieve with her propensity to foul. But we ended up with 4 good three point shooters. Two very good big people who could score inside. A pretty good defense. Does anyone wonder what our record would be if we only had to make one trip back east and all the other teams had to make four trips out here. I think we would be higher in the standings.

10. It was perfect how Charmin removed each of the seniors separately so they could get a thunderous ovation. And it was nice that Michele set a personal best for points scored.

11. Kayla was a little under the weather when she guarded Cavinder. She was removed frequently.

12. As they say in Looney Tunes "That's all folks."

Thanks for this story of the day! It's spot on!

Charmin also invited everyone to the Selection Sunday event on March 16 over at Memorial Stadium. Details to follow from Cal Athletics.

Totally agree with you. I've been to almost all of the home games the past 5 years and I've also gone to games at St Mary's, San Jose State and Stanford. I've recorded all the away games but I've never watched then. I prefer to follow those games on live stats and posts on this forum. The crowd yesterday was great and I really enjoyed talking to the players after the senior's speeches.

Got right in there when the gates opened yesterday. A fantastic vibe from beginning to end. I can't remember the last time I enjoyed following a team when the experience was as good as this one. In addition to the talent, the intelligence of these ladies combined with the way they support each other is the ultimate feel good story. What a great season! Glad to here about the Memorial Stadium event, I hope to be there. Go Bears!

With all due respect, EVERYDAY is a great day to be a Bear. I believe what you meant was that yesterday was especially so.

The Bears came on rather suddenly in the last 4-5 games; moving the ball, hustling on defense. Too bad they couldn't play like this in the first half of the season.

I think they did play lke that the first part of the season.

I was there solo (son would have gone, but too slammed with high school projects). It marked my 6th Cal WBB game of the season - more than I've gone to in the last several years combined, being mostly a FB and MBB fan.

So glad I went. Great afternoon overall. Michelle Onyiah dancing back down the court after scoring her last bucket and firing up the crowd at the end was my favorite highlight (of many).

I'm guessing we'll hear something later about the Memorial Stadium event. Sounds like fun.
