Australian Ruby Perkins, 5'8 PG from Sydney committed today (3/11).

What they are saying in Australia:

Top 5 women from the Under-20 National Championships

The Under-20 Australian Women's National Championship brought the country's best young hoopers to Ballarat, and the competition was nothing short of elite.

One of the standout bottom-agers of the tournament, Ruby Perkins might have just solidified her claim as the best point guard in the country. Her elite scoring ability efficient at all three levels was on full display, but what impressed me most was her mentality. In the championship game, after a quiet first half, Ruby exploded for 18 points in the third quarter, putting NSW in prime position for the title. Walking away with both a gold medal and tournament MVP Honours, Ruby proved she can go toe-to-toe with older competition and thrive.

Puff Morris (2025) & Ruby Perkins (2026) gives Cal two point guards which certainly should improve the team's ball-handling. Now, please land some big people. GO BEARS!

Damn! I don't know if Ruby can defend, but she can certainly move. Does this mean we'll get the Puff and Ruby Point Guard Show?

She has long arms. That helps in defending.

One of you who gets to attend the special "chalk talk" kind of things with Charmin has to ask the secret (or the person) behind Cal's international recruiting. Though, Lulu had to be of some influence for this recruit?

I'm thinking its Eliza Pierre.

Eliza was the only Cal coach to post Ruby Perkins' commitment on Instagram yesterday. And she has pics of Sydney on her Instagram page from May 2024. hmmmm.

Eliza Pierre is an excellent Cal ambassador.

Only Cal alum and former player on the staff.
She played on the team that went to the Final Four.
