Anyway it doesn't matter because Kiki is dominating. I often thought that Kiki was better than Brink, and when I saw she was transferring to USC I thought ... look out

Juju was running hard down the court with a defender on each side, tried to plant her foot to slow down, the foot slid, she hyperextended and had to be carried off. It will likely be a very serious knee injury.

Juju out of the season, which is a real tragedy. She will have surgery on her knee. Not sure if it was an ACL or MCL, but both aren't quite as serious as they were before with improvements in the treatment. Still it means she might not return at full strength next season.

I watched the replay several times but didn't see a good angle. They called a foul on the MSU player, and many wanted a fragrant foul. Not sure if there was anything too that or just the emotions of the huge loss.

But MSU hard fouled another player later.

MSU did the same thing to Cal players, especially Ioanna.

Seems like it was part of the game plan.

I watched the game and feel bad for JuJu. She was having such a great year. Having had a torn ACL myself, I know it is a difficult injury and recovery, but the surgical techniques and recovery periods have improved tremendously since long ago when I had the torn ACL and surgery. I expect to JuJu back by early next season and at full strength by the middle of next season. Wishing her well.

Watching better angles and slo mo I think the MSU player made a standard defensive attempt

Nothing dirty about it. The other MSU defender didn't touch her

Not sure what the USC fans saw when wanting a flagrant foul.

I think you mean flagrant.

Maybe he meant it smelled.

The good news is that it is not the "terrible triad" ot ACL, MCL and meniscus. But if they take a conservative approach, it could be a 9-12 month recovery followed by limited minutes for a while after that. She will obviously have the best of care. It was also pretty amazing to see all of the other talent that USC had on their roster after she went out. Others have been overshadowed somewhat by the presence of Juju.

I watched the full game highlights and I too was amazed. I knew Kiki was all world, but she hit mostly operated as a power forward away from the basket. She then would drive on 6-6 Omot or shoot a 16 footer.

Then USC had the other 6-4 senior center and a bunch of shooters when MSU tried to double Kiki

and fixed my typo above!
