FYI, this will be one of the worst basketball games you will ever see.

Was that "editorial" comment really necessary?
Why not let the folks on here be the judge especially since we do have a vested interest in this game.

Go Puff!
Go Bears!!

I mean, it's not like you can't say that about almost any hoop all star game, lol??
But you see some overall skills in the game, no matter what.
The glass half full of Cal women's hoops is that they have improved their record every year for the last several, and that doesn't continue without recruiting. Your point about a vested interest is the most important one: Cal has Mac AA, and a 5 star recruit. There isn't any reason that real fans shouldn't be excited about her...

Abosolutely excited about Puff ...

I had to watch the Mickey D All-Star game for many years because I was doing national rankings and all-American teams, and was a charter voter for the game. I even went one year.

Even for an all-star game, truly awful.

I think most are excited about being invited instead of the actual game. I mean, who watches the NBA All star game? And is there still a probowl game in NFL

I believe the first one I went to in Atlanta in '83 was before the girls game, but the boys group ended up being void of NBA stars, and I can only remember Pearl Washington, and I think Kenny Smith.
I also went to MSG, and the collection of boys was a step up. Meeting JJ Reddick before the game, I couldn't believe how low key he was, and a long ways from the future TV guy and Head Coach he would be some day.

Anyone else watching? I got home at the end of half-time, with the West, presumably Puff's team, solidly ahead. No sign of her yet.

Eek, suddenly Puff's out there with a 3! Plus compliments about her, including the comment that Charmin told her last year she needed to improve her 3-point shooting.

She's gotten quite a bit of playing time in the 2nd half.

I really like her entry passes to the post. She doesn't force them.

Anyone know where to find a box score for the game?

whole game video

my unofficial box score:

Puff played well scoring 10 points on 2-4 3s, a 15 foot open jumper, and a game highlight end-to-end score at the basket (see above). She had 2-3 assists (1 was a great pass to the post, but the post missed a bunny) and 3 turnovers, and 2 rebounds.

Overall her shot looks unorthodox (leans in a lot) but made them. Her passes into the post were good. She was aggressive on offense and got her hands on the ball several times defensively. She's going to have to adjust to the length of high D1 players. Overall she represented well.

Betts looked the best and in fact won West's MVP (she's joining her sister at UCLA).

Chavez, the number one ranked player is fast with the ball and unconscious with her 3 point shot, making a couple tough shot on the move. Oklahoma is going run a bunch of plays for her to get looks which will be easy considering she can shoot on the move and has an extremely quick shot

Another player who impressed me was undersized PG Mia Pauldo (going to Tennessee). Same height as Puff with a slight build, but elite ball handler and passer

Lots of talent on the floor although with these games, also lots of sloppy play and bad shots

I think ClayK may have warned us about those things. lol.

I just love Puff's game. Everything about her screams Brittany Boyd to me.

B.B. was the most enjoyable Bear ever, most of the time, but her shooting was erratic; Puff seems more disciplined.
