Cal women's basketball was gifted $500,000 for the program and facilities and Charmin was gifted an additional $500,000 to use for NIL or whatever else she wants. There is video on IG of Ron Rivera gifting Charmin and the team the two checks.

Ron Rivera said the money was from an anonymous donor who wanted to help Cal WBB. He added that this person has a Cal undergraduate degree and graduated from the Haas School of Business.

Charmin recently talked about how she wanted an upgraded locker room for the players, and of course the other $500K is awesome too!

Thanks to the anonymous donor and Haas grad!

Interesting how the check was signed… but I guess that is the name of the WBB locker room already (from an earlier Kidd donation)

At the open practice today, Charmin said that the locker room renovation can move forward early next year with that $500K donation now in hand.

She hopes they can start work on it in January while the Bears are on the road with ACC games. And it should be ready to go for the 2026-27 season or thereabouts.

If you re talking about the image you posted, to me it doesn't appear to be "signed". The line says, "For: Jason Kidd Foundation Film and Meeting Room." I'm not sure, but doesn't that just indicate what updates the funds are going to be used for rather than a signature or donor?

I tried to say that in my post, but guess I wasn't clear

Oh ok, yeah I sorta thought maybe that's where you were going, I just tried help clarify a little because I couldn't seem to get past the "signed" part. The good news is, the Film and Meeting Room is getting an upgrade lol!
