1) Honestly, the lineup was more effective with Giselle playing and Mjracle at the point.

2) Agree with you 100% on this one. Considering there was only 5 seconds left, the switch should have been made. Even if there had been a "roll" or a "pop" after it the basket would have been much harder to convert.

I missed the game - and didn't tape it - but found these clips - Does not look like Twidale was fouled. On last play, looks like Sheppard gets screened off and Barnes should have switched back rather than sticking with her assignment, had Barnes recognized how screened off Sheppard was.

Looking at it again, Lulu definitely did not see that Missouri player who poked the ball away. She was focused on getting to the basket, absorbing the foul and making her free throws.

The question then becomes why was Twidale making that move to the basket? Why not hold onto the ball until fouled? I guess she didn't want to get trapped - whom did the possession arrow favor at that point?

We had the arrow. That's why I don't understand why we didn't try to tie-up the Missouri player when they inbounded the ball. The way the refs were calling fouls, I guess they didn't want to risk giving them two free throws.

To take a further step forward, this team is going to have to play Naya more. She is a square peg in a round hole, but consistently produces positive scoring and rebounding numbers while shooting 58% from the field. Would love to hear from the coaches why she is instead sitting on the bench.

Totally agree.

I would think that she should be off the bench before Claudia. I understand Coach Smith's desire to be loyal and respectful of what Claudia has contributed to the team in the past, but Naya has had a greater impact, thus far, once she enters the game.

I think she has a nagging injury. I recall sh hit the floor hard in one game.
