Ojukwu called for a flagrant - which the commentators disagree with - and Ojukwu herself is bleeding from the contact.
Meanwhile, the difference is Furd's three point shooting.

Debbie Antonelli(my favorite WBB play by play announcer) and one other woman called the game. Was the other announcer Beth Mowins? They usually don't call ACC games. I watched the highlights of the game on You-tube.

Yes, Debbie Antonelli and Beth Mowins. They are two of my favorite WBB announcers as well. They also called the Cal-Stanford men's game on Saturday night at Maples on the ACC Network.

I'm wondering if they got pressed into duty for both games because of travel conditions/flight cancellations across other parts of the country.

She is definitely not out for the season.

At the Chalk Talk before the game, Coach Eliza Pierre said Puff is getting really close to returning. She's been studying game films with Charmin.

Actually it's Beth that does the play by play and Debbie who does the color. With so many annoying announcers out there, I think these two do a great job.

And as an old school dude, I really have an issue with some of these "high elbow reviews" that occur in today's game. When you watch that play with Naya, she receives the ball above the waist with multiple defenders around her. When she turns to make her move, what else can she do with her elbows? It appears to defy the physics of body movement. Even if it's considered a foul, this oldtimer views it as just basketball. Anyway, it's always easier to swallow when we get the W.

why does the program's most efficient scorer naya ojukwu only play 10 minutes with 7 points??

Because Stanfurd was much taller and Ojukwu was having difficulty against them.

One reason it was an impressive win: Stanford is pretty tall, and Cal had to rely on defense, some of it from relatively inexperienced players and, in general, from players who are still learning to work together. This is what I really like about the college game: watching young athletes develop and grow.

"... who are still learning to work together."

A very valid point. In today's world, developing that team chemistry on the court is a challenge due to roster turnover.

Also, the last couple of seasons, Cal has actually had better 3-point shooters, which has made a huge difference.

Good news, thank you!
