Between NIL and the new head coach Stanford WBB isn't what it used to be.

I think she actually decommitted from Stanford on 5/31, so she's been looking around for a while

Yeah, looks like it happened months ago and I'm sure there's a long list of suitors.

Anyone know if Cal is recruiting Maliya Hunter out of Archbishop Mitty and Jason Kidd Select AAU? Read about her in a write up for the Adidas ABCD event in Oakland a few weeks back.

The article also mentioned Ava Ubaka, daughter of Ayinde Ubaka - former Cal MBB player. She's still in middle school!

I watch most of the Archbishop Mitty games and Maliya Hunter is a solid player. She'll be a junior this season and is a 6-2 forward with a nice shooting touch. Her father is an assistant coach for the Stanford men's team so I don't know if that will factor into her decision. GO BEARS!

Maliya Hunter? Yes, we are! Ahead of the game you might say. On her Instagram profile, I found a post that said we had offered her back in November 2024.

The post was from Jason Kidd Select.
