This year WNBA fans can vote for any (of up to 10) player for the all-star game:

Being a hopeless Cal homer, I'm voting for Boyd every day through July 9. She's a long shot, but not that long; B.B. is apparently already a fan favorite at Madison Square Garden, and she's getting a lot of media attention: "the Liberty's brilliant new point guard," etc.

Welcome to NYC, Brittany, the media capitol of the world.

Quite true. Note, however, that Shoni Schimmel was named to one of the two all-star teams last year in her rookie season and, although she, too, is a flashy, attention-getting player, she is not a better point guard than Brit.

Since fan votes aren't the only deciding factor, I can only hope that the W itself considers B.B. for a team.

If you have access to NBA network, NY will be playing Atlanta at noon (PST). It's a good chance she will be starting..

Just voted for Brittany! (as well as Layshia and Reshanda, haha!)

Then I put in a couple less biased votes for two of my non-Cal favs, Delle Donne and Nneka.

Seems like all you need is an email address to cast a vote. Maybe we can all refresh our browsers, use as many different browsers as possible, use all our email addresses, or invent fake email address if they don't require confirmation/verification, and really stuff the ballot for Brittany! haha, I have no shame...in fact, "shame"? What's that?

The only consequence might possibly be some extra WNBA spam in our inboxes, but hopefully there's a seamless opt-out/unsubscribe button, :-P

Fun game, huh? Boyd and Stokes have acquired the reputation of being truly useful rookies: http://www.wnba.com/news/rookie-report-new-yorks-fearsome-twosome/

(Note that Boyd is the face of a lot of W features this month, and not just on the Liberty's home page. I hope Tina Charles, the Lib's star player, is not taking offense.)

Anyway, don't forget to vote for B.B. for the all-stars game: http://www.wnba.com/players/

She might not deserve an all-star spot, but on actual performance so far this season Boyd wouldn't be that much of a stretch -- and certainly not a shame! -- to be one of the PGs in the East. She'd definitely be a lock for the all-rookie team to date... surprisingly, well ahead of the top 3 draft picks.

And ballot-stuffing is always in style -- just ask the KC baseball fans

As they say in Chicago, vote early and vote often
