All of those schools have done great recruiting. Obviously, that is what we also now need to get back into the competition.

Easy to forget since they lost a lot early on last year, but UCLA did look fantastic by March last year. They lose Kennedy Burke, who I always liked, but Natalie Chou fills in and she might be able to match or better Burke's offensive contributions...

Just read the younger Sabally sister tore her ACL again last month, but i kind of expect the transfer Sedona Prince to be granted a waiver for immediate eligibility.

Curious what people think about how their backcourt will look with Minyon Moore? She's obvious had a productive college career, but I feel like her style is very different from the graduate Maita Cazorla so it'll be interesting how chemistry is, tho I realize Moore and Ionescu played together in AAU. It was wild watching them last year in games when all 4 of their 3-point shooters were on a roll, but I know Minyon is not known to be a 3 point shooter.

Coach Gottlieb May have been distracted the last few years (pregnancy, baby, wedding, Southwest Airlines, looking for another job, etc.) and that may have impacted recruiting. Let us hope that Coach Smith can bring in some high level recruits and close the talent gap.

Go Vears!

Stanford has fifteen quality recruits that give them depth that Oregon does not possess (nor Cal) ...

Tara VanDerveer recruits approximately four every year. She has four freshmen, juniors & seniors. The sophomore class only has three members. If the she wanted, Tara could start a lineup of five McDonald's
All-Americans.

While Oregon is without a doubt an elite team I question them being #1 in the conference and certainly #1 in the nation. I think they are really going to miss Maite Cazorla. She would have been "The Star" on most other programs' rosters. And it is heartbreaking that Nyara Sabally re-tore her ACL. Meanwhile FURD has a top recruiting class and I would be very surprised if they don't win at least one national championship in the next four years, possibly even more.

Oregon won't drop much at the point with Minyon Moore ... she's an uber-competitive, talented guard who finds ways to win. She won't be Cazorla in the pick-and-roll, but she's more athletic and a better overall scorer.
