WOW, This is great news for CAL WBB....Charmin Smith is a fine person and an excellent coach. Congratulatios to the coaching staff!!! Fatou Samb will thrive in this program and at CAL. in the classroom. This is inspirational news, and is a terrific start to the Charmin Smith Era. GO BEARS.......

Getting Samb to commit Is great. If Coach Smith gets Daniels and/or Jenkins would be amazing. I realize one of the two has some major offers. Being able to get 2 out of the 3 would be great. Getting all three would be amazing. We do need a wing and probably a guard that is a major shooter. Not sure if that is going to happen. Nonetheless, this will be a strong class for Cal.

That would be amazing to get three-four 5 star players in Coach Smith's class. I hoping she can pull 2 out of 3 players.

Even getting one or two more good players, this will require a three-year plan to totally rebuild the roster and to give the new players experience. So far, it looks like Charmin can be the person to get it done. I hope we can also land at least one international player to get that pipeline under way.

Yes, it's not an instant fix but the way the class is shaping up should at a minimum keep them competitive until the roster is completely in place for the future.

And yes, look for some international experience in the 2020 class, too.

Naje Murray, a point guard from Stockton, transferred to Cal from San Diego State last April. She has to sit out this year. She will be a Junior.
