Cal beats #3 UCLA 4-1. Games ends at about 1:20am. That's what happens when you stack 4 games on the same day & same field. Get some rest Bears!

Edited: Damn they got the final game for Day 2 too. Potentially another late game!

With all the spring training facilities in AZ. You would think that they would have each division of this tourney start play in a separate facility so that both games for each division can be played at 3 and then at 7 or 8pm. With the heat, you are screwed playing the 12pm game. Your screwed playing the 9am game because it is way too early. And you are screwed playing the late game because of what happened last night. Playing in the third game of the day is the ideal spot. When teams start to get eliminated, then bring it to one facility.

Also, there were not a lot of fans in the stands for all the games. If there were a lot fans there, they were hiding from the heat.

At least the Pac is not seeing the same problem as the SEC tournament.

Hopefully, the Conference learns from yesterday's experience and makes changes to future tournaments.

Well, at least the concession stands stayed open until the 7th of our game….those cold beers went down easy last night…

***, the 3rd game Furds vs AZ is still going on with the 8th inning just over. Don't think Cal's game will start until after 10pm!!! So pathetic but thank goodness Cal should have plenty of rest.

Cal defeated 1-3. Both teams 6 hits but Beavers able to get their hits in the clutch. Tough loss for the Bears. Game ended about 1:15am. Cal will face UCLA again in the double elimination playoffs. Cal will be in the 2nd game tomorrow. Think the time will be more reasonable.

True. After first game, not many places open after 2 but found WhataBurger almost closing. Got a rush order of 300 burgers. Kids got to eat.

First game will be at 3:00 and most likely depending when this game ends, Cal's game will most likely start .30 minutes after end of this game.

..and they get to play OSU again tonight and after 5, OSU leading UCLA 5-2. Damn this is UCLA fifth game in 4 days. Whomever wins will play Stanford tomorrow and either team will have to beat the Furds twice. So taxing to the pitching staffs.

UCLA rallied to take the lead with 9 persons coming to the plate in the 7th, but then in the bottom of the 9th, UCLA misplays an infield fly for OSU to tie the score and then OSU gets the game winning hit.
A long day and then OSU is back today against the Junior University. I wonder who is even able to pitch.
