Those arent seeds.

For example, if Cal defeats Penn State Behrend in Game #1 they go on to play the winner of GAME #2.
Either Augustana or Stanford.

Augustana is a D3 team.
They were added earlier this year to MPSF along with Washington & Jefferson.
They joined Austin College and Penn State Behrend as the NCAA D3 MPSF programs.

The D1 programs are of course, Cal, Furd, UCLA, and USC.
Total of 8 teams now in the MPSF.
Most since 2015.

Thanks for the info but the seeds are listed even if not relevant . Second round if it goes to plan would be Cal 1 v Stanford 7.

I would caution putting too much emphasis on these "seeds".

Coming into the Big Splash last weekend, Furd was ranked #4 in NCAA D1.
Does anyone really believe that a D3 team that wasnt even NCAA ranked in the Top 10 for D3 is better than Furd?

I can GUARANTEE you that Cal would rather play Augustana College in the second match than Furd.

Notice that the "seeds" alternate between D1 schools and the D3 teams that are outside of the West Coast.
Again, I really wouldnt put any emphasis on these "seeds".

I'm told by a former CAL NCAA Champion (John Doten) that this Cal team is very "special".
He told me yesterday that he might just have to drive down to ToeJam Land to watch our Golden Bears at MPSF.

First match for CAL at MPSF starts this morning at 9:30 AM.

And with that, received the top seed in the NCAA championship weekend after next at Spieker due to face the winner of UOP v. UC Davis 12/1.

On the other side of the bracket, UCLA awaits the 12/1 winner of USC v. either Princeton or Fordham who play 11/26.

Sunday 12/4 finals will be on ESPNU.
