question: how does the baseball team sign the 2025 recruit class in November, 2023? All of the other Cal athletic teams are announcing their 2024 classes this November. I'm confused.

If I interpret this correctly, it's the fall arrival 2024 class that will begin playing baseball in the spring of 2025. This is not how the softball team announces it, for example. They just announced their 2024 class that is signed but plays in the spring of 2025. They also are working on their class of 2025 which will play in the calendar year of 2026.

It'supposed to be the year that the recruits arrive at Cal and enroll as students. There are some sports like tennis that play games in the fall and the spring, Swimming also participates in the fall and the spring. This basketball season is called 2023-24, etc.

The calbears website has corrected their mistake and made it the Class of 2024! I was correct.
