A transfer from Vanderbilt, Giavonna Meeks specialty in indoor weight throw and outdoor hammer throw. She was ranked #23 in the HT in the USA. She has personal best in the HT of 216-10 which would be #3 on Cal's all time record throwers behind of course the great Camryn Rogers. She will have 3 years of eligibility left.

Other signees distance runner Jackson Hein from Chico, CA. Last year at the Calif state meet is was 5th in the final with a time of 1:51.61



Caitlyn Johnson from Texas. One of the best jumpers in the country. TJ 40.575, LJ 19-10.5. These were all done as a 10 grader!

Eliot Traxler SP/Disc Amador (Sutter Creek) Pr of 58.5 /184.6. Was 6th in last years Cal state meet in the disc. Did not advance in the SP.

coach Mo has recruited another outstanding foreign HT Pietro Camilli from Italy. A world U-20 championship finalist in 2024.

A sprinter from San Diego section Lauren Gilhooly, Coronado HS. 100/200 best time of 12.18 & 24.36. Has run a wind aided 11. 8 w. Made to state in the 100 LY but only came in 21st.

couple of new local recruits

Callum McBride, Albany distance . He didn't run this year & unknown as to the reason. Possibly injured. He should had been one of the top distance runner in the NCS based on his junior year.

Lily Montilla, Las Lomas - Came in 10th in the 3200

Montilla is from my alma mater in nearby Walnut Creek.
She ran 10:21.98 in a Girls 3200m that was extremely FAST.

Montilla was 14/100ths off of 9th place and 1.5 seconds off of 7th place.
