Ondine Achampong (frosh-England) DNP

Cal edged Oregon State by approximately one-half point. Beavers outscored Bruins also by .50.

Jade Carey captured the all-around by perhaps a half point over Mya Lauzon.

The one newcomer that impressed was freshman Mya Wiley on her two events: vault & uneven bars. Jordan Kane performed well on the floor exercise (9.85).

The worst performer of the four AA gymnasts was eMjae Frazier.

IMO-Cal will not outscore LSU or Oklahoma with this level of performance in the next meet.

for a first meet they scored well. yes frazier did not score well like she normally does. She may be recovering from injury or illness. we don't know. she normally would be scoring similar or higher than mya. and ondine did not perform. they probably kept her safe for now. it is end of the season that counts. and yes maybe they won't beat okla. LSU or florida. but let's not jump the gun yet.

Sorry but you do tend to go off and predict on the potential negative outcomes. It's been pointed out by others.

Yep and this is only first meet of the year. Remembered one instance where one season sr71 criticized coach D in the first fall SB practice game. Remembering one of his standard comments 'if I were coach'... He didn't like starting a certain catcher. THIS IN THE FIRST PRACTICE GAME!!

The LA times, yes, they do cover women's gymnastics unlike some other papers I could mention, also noted the low scores by all of the teams,
