I'm hoping the offense picks up. Surprised at the low scoring games and lack of power. This offense is extremely talented.

Still early but very happy with how the pitchers have looked but Probably saying to all of the naysayers on this website " who's your daddy now?". Just kidding.

Cal steps up in competition next weekend at the Mary Nutter Classic. The Bears open with Oregon (10-1), Cal State-Fullerton (7-3) & Washington (5-5). CSF lost to #1 Oklahoma in extra innings and the Huskies have lost to SEC competition. These teams should be a good test to see how the pitching staff holds up.

Cal dropped to a number 21 rating in Massey. This is probably due to the good pitching that we showed in the three wins. The Massey ratings really respect pitching above All Else. Fwiw after the Oregon game we play 26th straight games against teams that have higher Massey ratings than Cal. That includes 10 games against teams rated over 100. We play our first four conference series against (mostly) bdws in the ACC. (BC 5-5 #101, GT #53, 7-3, Vir #37 5-5, Clem #49 4-6) #6 Florida State will be our toughest tests on April 4th.

I felt good about this hire for sure.

Fellow ACC opponent Clemson defeats Georgia 5 to 3. Roelling takes the loss. This was Georgia's first true test of the season. Very easy schedule so far.

Looks like Roelling is struggling with some command issues still. 12 walks and 8 strikeouts in her last 3 starts. I wish her well.
