Cal prevails over Long Beach State 16-11 in a 9:30 am game this morning. It was close until the end of the 3rd quarter. The match was within 2 goals for the majority of the 2nd & 3rd periods as the Bear's defense had major trouble stopping the 49ers from scoring. A southpaw senior from Spain named Martina Cardona was virtually unstoppable with six goals in 8 shots. The fourth quarter was in favor of Cal 3-1 to open up the final score.

Ruby Swadling exploded for five goals in seven attempts to keep the Bears in the lead. LBS's 11 goals was the highest goal count against Cal through five matches. Cal is 5-0.
