The 2 ACC wins the setter was frosh Maria Stirbu who has taken over for the injured Natalie Lau. The team seem to be playing well with Maria. I only saw Natalie in the first game of the year and thought she was only okay but that was only the first game. Any VB experts here that compare the play of the two setters.

Virginia took Stanford to 4 sets also (winning the third just like today against the Bears).

Maybe this team is finally starting to gel with all the new players now acquainted with each other.

2-0 in ACC!

My best friend from childhood is a shrink in Victoria, TX and he and his wife know Carbonelli and her family. They say she's a great kid.

I think you are referring to freshman Arissa Carbonara from Cuero Texas.

Thanks. Wrong pasta sauce...LOL Cuero is next to Victoria and only about 800 miles from my home town of El Paso.

Aside of Natalie, the team is healthy with Cherlin Antonio finally getting playing time, so Friday's match against 6th-ranked Louisville will tell a lot about our team.

Thanks but hope Cherlin didn't hurt herself. Think she and a teammate collided in the 4th set.
