Fantastic. Saw it on their twitter accounts. What position does Koenig play? She is 5-10 so it could be 1b but if it is SS that would be great, since we need a replacement for Vonk. Care to speculate on our line-up now? Even if we had signed only 1, think hitting will be okay. Pitching is the issue question mark on this team!

Who knows. I am insanely confused by defensive positions. In terms of best offense?

Also note- Cal has two really great outfielders in Bowers and Mccue coming in next year. They could crack the starting line up as well. Lots of options, good new talent coming in the circle (Kourtney Shaw just won POY in SD and will be the ace of top team Firecrackers Rico this summer) mixed with our improved veterans. Next year could turn out to be pretty darn good!

The new outfielder that really put up the numbers her senior season was 5-1 lefty slapper Danika Bailey of St Francis-Sacto. She stole 32 bases and registered a .642 BA% & a .678 OB%. Taylor Koenig was Kylie Reed's teammate at Norco when they won the national championship.

The roster should have 26 players next season...Only 15 full scholarships are available, correct? They must be splitting some and have a few true walk-ons. GO BEARS!

12 full athletic scholarships are available. Plus military and academic scholarships. From what I've seen and been told.

Wonderful news! They should pretty much offset the power loss represented by Cordes/Henderson. I feel pretty good about our scoring potential and we may be a bit better defensively with Alvarez back and depending on how Vonk's replacement works out. Again, we'll likely go as far as our pitching can take us. In Chuck we trust!

Rood will either be at SS or OF. I saw her play for MV at the livermore stampede and she is insanely fast and has great movement laterally. Really nice arm too. She can definitely get to a lot of balls defensively. Remember- she was one of only four high school players invited to the USA JNT tryouts and is one of the best players in the 2015 class in general.

Great news. We need the power.

How long will it take for coach to do a press release? It appears that there will be 6 new scholarships coming in and 4 that left, the math does not add up.

Don't know for sure but was Mary Lee on a athletic scholarship? I thought at the beginning she was a walk-on. Perhaps later she might have gotten some money. I imagine both Cordes and Henderson got fully scholarships and perhaps Vonk too but maybe the 6 2015 recruits are on only partial scholarships. Of course, I'm just speculating.

Jasmine is a fine outfielder but, unless we have a pitcher lurking who can hit, I don't think she can start. Alvarez and Jackson have 2 OF spots filled, the third likely will be in for offense.

Maybe there will be a bunch of partials.
