I have been listening to a compilation of Celtic music, and five of the 21 songs are Pirate songs. I have a smiddling of Irish DNA, likely from sailors visiting the Atlantic islands where my grandparents were born; so Irish pirates are plausible but I really think Irish smugglers are more likely. anybody know more about Irish pirates?
