It's a terrible tragedy. Yes he shouldn't be trying to avoid arrest, but I think we can all agree we should expect our officers to know the difference between a taser and .45 even in situations you're panicking. Pretty easy case of manslaughter. Anybody know how long she had been on the force?

The cop in the U.S. Army lieutenant case in Virginia looked like he was older and had been around a long time.

Yet he had trouble communicating effectively and was overly aggressive and emotional and escalated a situation at a time that called for de-escalation -- all of which seemed counter to the basics of being a cop.
