The result????Escalating crime in this country not seen for many decades. Cops are resigning by the thousands. They are also taking early retirement. Very very few young folks are now signing up to be Cops...In this environment, why would they??

The part that most Republicans seem to miss is that this was not just any riot. It wasn't people breaking windows at The Gap or even storming a Federal Court building after hours.

This mob was storming the US Capitol with the intention of disrupting the electoral process for the POTUS.

In fact, they did manage to delay the proceedings.

This is a HUGE difference and one that RWNJs gloss over.

Ashley Babbitt tried to breach a barricaded door that led to a chamber where members of the U.S. legislative body were hiding protected by those who were tasked to protect them. All the talk about the officer being black is absolute bullshyte. He was doing the job that he was tasked with. Ashley Babbitt died because she thought she couldn't be held accountable. I'm not falling for any of your diversion or false equivalency tactics. I watched the video, I'm familiar with the circumstance. Ashley was part of a mob that forced entry into a government building, a mob that was actively calling for the death of government officials in that building. Ashley came across a barricaded door with police on the other side protecting government officials, she attempted to breach the door. Her actions means she deserved to be shot, the officer was justified in shooting her, she is not a martyr. These are the facts, this is the history, I will not let you change them.

As one can see from the thread above, he is saving the country by not taking safety mesasures to protect the vulnerable from COVID-19.
