Another shooting has taken place and this time it was during a 4Th of July parade. Preliminary information has 6 were killed and more than 20 were injured at a parade in Highland Park Illinois a suburb of Chicago. The shooter was described as a young white male in his 20s with dark long hair. The shooter is said to have taken up a position on the roof of a building where he started to shoot at the spectators. The suspect has escaped but a weapon described as a high-powered rifle was recovered. These types of incidences will keep happening until we get smart and make changes in how to address the issue of who has access to weapons. Again the good guys with guns couldn't stop this bad guy with a gun. How many days since Uvalde?

Sadly, this Country has to see more and more mass shootings to get to that point.

I care just as much about that and it stems from the same bizarre attitude regarding guns. If the inner city gun violence was against rich White folk instead of poor Black folk, it might change a few, but probably not enough, Republican minds about gun control.

Can you remind me again the reason civilians need to be able to legally purchase AR-15's in this country? Just give me the bullet points. Thanks.

I don't know where you are from. But here in the United States, we tend to treat one person responsible for killing and hurting a large number of people in a short time span as being a very big deal.

In 2020, 79 people were shot, 15 of them fatally; in 2019, 68 people were shot, 5 of them fatally.
