Senator Marco Rubio on Sunday said he would vote against a federal relief bill to assist Flordia in recovering from Hurricane Ian if it contained unrelated spending projects.

"Sure. I will fight against it having pork in it. That's the key," Rubio said on CNN's "State of the Union." "We shouldn't have that in there, because it undermines the ability to come back and do this in the future."
Rubio said the extra spending would deter other lawmakers from voting on it.

"We can do it, it's possible to do it without loading it with these other things, because, otherwise, you will have people in the Senate, in the House that are going to vote against disaster relief because they view these disaster relief bills as ways for other people to get their pork and their pet projects done," Rubio said.

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.), a Florida native and lawmaker, voted against a measure to free up millions of dollars in disaster relief for the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

Gaetz was one of several House Republicans on Friday who voted against a resolution to allow FEMA to use up to $15 million from the Disaster Relief Fund, Newsweek reported.

Hey, I got sent to the principal's office and threatened with a big leather belt for drawing boobs in the 5th grade of a public school in 1969 in San Francisco. I got 5 days of suspension and a note sent home to my parents that they had to sign and return. Pole dancing would have probably gotten me my dick cut off.

She's a Grammy- and Emmy-winning singer and classically trained flutist whose songs have half a billion viewers (probably a lot more) on YouTube.

She's a big girl who likes to dance and promotes body positivity, which conservatives find offensive because they don't consider obese people to be good role models.

I am generally pretty up on newer acts and I have never heard of her in my life.

I Googled her and listened to her most popular songs and I have never heard any of them.

I also didn't like them, although I can see that they are catchy.

There is one, though, called "About Damn Time" that has a Chic vibe that I dig.



For the people who claim that the kids today can't play any instruments, well, she can. She plays flute and plays it well.

Why is a story about Lizzo posted in this thread?
