What does any of that have to do with rape? You really aren't very good at any of this. I called her a skank because of her behavior, her comments , her standing by her sex offender husband for so many years. The clothes she chooses to wear have nothing to do with it. That is projection on your part.

You really need to stop bringing a spork to a knife fight.

Bearister wrote "She looks like a drunk hooker. In other news…."

Then you wrote "This is the only way to interact with either GOP skank."

Of course you were referring to her husband drunkenly exposing himself to two women in a bowling alley twenty years ago (when he was 24) and not following the actual line of conversation.
Got it. Sometimes your angry card overcomes you liberal card.

How can the car companies run by the UAW compete with the much cheaper non-union labor of their competitors who aren't demanding working 32 hours but getting paid for 40 hours of work, increasing their wages above a $32/hr floor, and reinstating pensions because matching 401ks aren't enough? Is this where the government subsidizes these companies, so they can pay their employees what they demand? Is this corporate welfare to allow workers to make high wages or will these companies finally go under?

GM is a terrible investment. They are down ytd, down 17% over the past 12 months, and only give a 1% dividend. If GM made all cars with American union labor, they'd be losing money.

I went to a GM test drive event where we were allowed to drive prototype vehicles such as fuel cell vehicles, the Bolt (preproduction), and others. The engineers who worked on the cars were there to give presentations and answer questions alongside the marketing people.

I was very impressed with GM's engineering talent. GM has no problems designing great cars. It even has demand for them. It just has trouble building and delivering them. That's not the fault of unions or high labor costs. It is the fault of management and how they have handled logistics and supply chains.

They are worldwide and massive, with 170,000 employees and selling 9 million cars a year. They were 175 billion in debt in 2009 (the recession). They lost 4 billion in 2017. Because of their sheer size and low margins, their profitability can take massive swings.

Guys, please! Just because she wore clothing to facilitate her boyfriend groping her in a theater filled with families with children, doesn't make her a skank!

Heck, she's a generous woman - she groped her boyfriend to return the favor! (NOT her husband, as 003 claimed. They have filed for divorce, but are still married - family values).

And then she insulted the pregnant women behind her who wouldn't let her vape in peace. And when the vape Nazis tossed her out of the theater, she dropped the "don't you know who I am?" card on them as she gave the double bird salute.

003 thinks she is a fine member of the party of family values and we shouldn't judge her behavior in public as an indication of who she really is.

Cool story. You are projecting.

I am focusing strictly on her behavior. Has nothing to do with her gender. That's your cult that has antiquated ideals about the role women should play in public and private society. The focus is on Boebert, because she is a preachy politician that thinks government can tell people how to live, but she is also a liar and a hypocrite because she does not follow those standards herself. Her boyfriend would get more flak if he was anyone of import, but he's still a skank for participating in skanky public behavior with his also skanky girlfriend.

Perhaps the issue is your inability to see words like "skank" as gender neutral? You could never imagine a man being called a skank because when men behave that way they are just being manly men, taking what is rightly theirs, and f@ck anyone who disagrees. Men who act this way are to be admired - no one would ever call a man a skank, amiright?

GM and Ford combined have 1/9th the market cap of Tesla and 1/3rd the market cap of Toyota. The investment community assumed this destructive behavior and priced into the stock price for each, and this strike is adding to an already high variable in operating costs for GM and Ford. The only reason this is not hurting the stock even more is that there was prediction about inventory buildup that would have required large incentives to the customers by GM and Ford that will not be as necessary. Customers who insist on buying American trucks will lose the cash incentives but they will have more options, even from electric vehicle companies or by Toyota. There was one time build up in balance sheet by GM and Ford from supply chain constraints that benefited their margins and pricing power that will soon go away from supply chain easing.

GM and Ford are terrible investments as reflected in the multiples to EBITDA realized in their market cap. Wall Street is betting that Detroit just won't be able to compete in the long run. That view will make any financing for growth more expensive and result in more difficulty in attracting top management talent. And no amount of politics will change that.

I disagree with this article.

Lauren Boebert trades on her good looks and sex appeal. She has crafted an image for which she has dyed her hair, gotten breast implants, and dresses scantily. She wants to elicit a reaction from men.

This woman is a Congressperson, a business owner, and soon to be a grandmother. She should conduct herself more appropriately, but she can't because it is who she is. I think it is okay to call out a woman who trades on her sex appeal for what she is.

She's not called a bimbo because she's a woman. She's called a bimbo because she's a bimbo.

How often have you called Bill Clinton a bimbo? How about John Edwards? And here in CA, Villaraigosa. Or Barney Frank with male prostitutes working for him.

Boebert like the rest of the freedom caucus members are con artists who trade on fake conservative principles to dupe their voters. They are populist, destructive, fake intellectuals. That should be enough.

Unless you want to call out male liberal politicians based on their sexual activities, including Newsom and his affairs, calling out Boebert on her behavior when there are actual, governance related reasons to call her out comes across as sexist. I say this as someone who thinks the day we get rid of these con artist, we can function normally again.

And that is your rejoinder? Bimbo is limited to woman so you call out only the women for their sexual choices? You as an alleged progressive don't see that as sexist? Bill Clinton, Barney Frank, John Edward's, etc. are fine because the term is limited to woman. I see.

I honestly don't care what legal activities politicians engage in during their time off. I am not electing a politician for their personal lifestyle. Even if Boebert's personal life choices were pristine, she would still be a con artist or an idiot, both of which disqualify her. More outrageous than whether someone was groping her was that she was vaping in a crowded theater, showing no respect for law, lying about vaping, and then using her position to threaten people who are doing their job. - something frauds in both parties do. Everything else is just white noise.

Auto workers go on strike and Hoover Trump, man of the people, does not show support. He just says some self serving things that the unions should support him. A true man of the people.

I guess the shareholders will have to get by with less profit

GM is a terrible investment. They are down ytd, down 17% over the past 12 months, and only give a 1% dividend. If GM made all cars with American union labor, they'd be losing money.

GM had $21 billion in profits the last year. They have a $5 billion stock repurchase program.

They are worldwide and massive, with 170,000 employees and selling 9 million cars a year. They were 175 billion in debt in 2009 (the recession). They lost 4 billion in 2017. Because of their sheer size and low margins, their profitability can take massive swings.

In 2017 GM had $13.5 billion of one-time writedowns related to exiting the loss making European business and writedowns of deferred taxes because Trump cut their taxes. Both actions made GM stronger for the future.

Again, they are worldwide and massive, with 170,000 employees and selling 9 million cars a year. They were 175 billion in debt in 2009 (the recession). They lost 4 billion in 2017 (exit of European business and tax deferment). Because of their sheer size and low margins, their profitability can take massive swings.

They are getting smoked by competitors without union labor. The costs of making cars are more than just supply constraints. For example, because the labor is so high, they are careful not to make more than the demand. Companies with higher margins, like Tesla and non-American companies, can slash prices to offload cars because they aren't paying union labor. Investors are fleeing GM and investing in automakers without labor issues.

Guys, please! Just because she wore clothing to facilitate her boyfriend groping her in a theater filled with families with children, doesn't make her a skank!

Heck, she's a generous woman - she groped her boyfriend to return the favor!

Here is some educational reading, childbear. https://coloradosun.com/2023/09/14/lauren-boebert-politics-opinion-zornio/

Bill Clinton was not a bimbo. I am not sure why you would make that comparison.

Bimbo is slang for an attractive, sexualized, naive, and unintelligent woman.

You think this applies to Bill Clinton?

Bill Clinton is not naive and unintelligent. That is the difference. Him being a man isn't the reason why he's not a bimbo.

Bill Clinton is a philanderer and in that sense he is worse than Boebert because as far as I know she didn't have affairs with a bunch of men while married. Maybe she did. I don't know.

Lauren Boebert is the textbook definition of a bimbo.

I wouldn't call Ann Coulter a bimbo despite that she is a woman and I disagree with her politics.
