Like almost everything currently, the MAGA Trump leaning Republican has no ethical standard other than loyalty and anti-the-non-tribe. Jan 6th is a perfect example. If blacks, gays, trans, or even women had done anything even mildly approaching what happened they would be up in arms demanding a death penalty rather than calling it a holiday tour. They call the Jan 6th invasion a peaceful exercise of free speech and that these people are patriots. And at the same time these were not Trump supporters it was antifa or inside job. So which is it, a noble good thing or a bad thing that other people did?

Who here or in your personal circle calls everything that happened on January 6 a peaceful exercise of freedom of speech? While there certainly were folks exercising freedom of speech, there were certainly crimes committed. Where we disagree is whether or not there was an actual insurrection, which didn't happen, despite what those against Trump propose.
