This isn't that bad a neighborhood, Bed-Stuy, plurality Black but middle class, with many owner-occupied touwnhouses. A friend from college who lives 2 blocks from the stabbing scene joked that in his neighborhood, a lot of the bums are white and the landlords are black. But it's true that people get mugged occasionally, or worse, and one has to navigate the obstacles better than that poor guy who got stabbed did.

There is a good French bistro up the street from the stabbing on Malcolm X, underrated and underappreciated, run by an eccentric Asian chef who knows classic French cuisine. I don't think there is another restaurant in the western hemisphere that does this classic old school French dish, chicken with truffle shavings poached in a pig bladder:

Definitely worth a visit if you're in Brooklyn.

This is a follow up response to the OP. The person who was murdered identifies as a member of Antifa. His girlfriend is a BLM activist who refused to give a description of the killer to the police.

Oh. BLM activist? I guess that makes murder OK.

Yes indeed it is a most tragic outcome. Even if there is a bit of sad irony in the victim's beliefs, it's still a very sad event.

I don't know about Carson's particular background, but places like Brooklyn, the Mission District and so forth are full of young hipster transplants who underestimate the degree of violence in these urban enclaves and sometimes don't navigate potential trouble spots well.

Trump bragged about the extra judicial murder by the US Marshals of the antifa activist who was wanted for murder. Everybody gets their day in Court - unless you are a political opponents of Trump.

I would have been disappointed if the police didn't shoot Babbitt.

Are you trying to compare an active attack on the Capitol into a secured area

with an ambush killing in an arrest scenario?

Try again

I don't see anybody here thinking the murder was ok. The sad part here is the folks who won't help the police solve this murder because they are too woke (or braindead) to help police.

You're right, no comparison - one was an unarmed woman who was trespassing, the other was a wanted murderer who pulled a gun and threatened officers.

Those claims were debunked by the non police witnesses at the scene and also by Traitor Trump:
"They knew who he was. They didn't want to arrest him and 15 minutes that ended".

Cons need to stop lying and making up stuff (I know - it would be against their nature).
There is no such thing as "antifa membership."

They caught the suspect, he was crying. CBS blurred out his face.

Neither Carson's BLM-activist girlfriend Claudia Morales nor the police have addressed rumors that she was uncooperative in the early investigation. Originally, law enforcement sources told media the police did not have a physical description of the "person" (no gender) who stabbed Carson.

Wow if that's true, that's truly pathetic.
