She was with Jake Tapper yesterday. At the end, she wouldn't say that she's NOT going to run. (10 min clip)

She was also on Face The Nation yesterday: (6 min clip)

Then I found this, and I think most everyone on Off Topic would enjoy. It's from 2 weeks ago, and long, 1:13 long.

I'll say this.
I don't know her policy positions on taxes or abortion or funding internationally. I don't know her position on immigration or drugs or global warming or the size of our military.

But I DO know this:
* She has a strong foundational belief about what makes American democracy work.
* She is strong enough to face down her opponents, willing to go down for her beliefs, rather than cave like so many others have.
* Nor is she like Paul Ryan or Jeff Flake who have just disappeared into the private sector woodwork, giving up on the fight.
* She continues to go after the #1 issue I am a ZEALOT about: Trumpism.
* She has worked with Democrats and such bipartisanship is desperately needed.

She's a labeled Republican and if the GOP ever caves on Trump, she can take that torch, and attract Independents who tired of having to turn to Biden. Even Democrats could trust her because she's not throwing partisan flames, rather challenging her own party - something desperately needed.

Watch this space, because nobody is excited about any of those currently running for office. None of them!

PS: she's FOR funding Ukraine.

Only a reformed Republican turned Trump Derangement Syndrome Democrat thinks she has any chance of being President when she got soundly voted out of office in Wyoming as a Congressman. She has no constituency other than psychos like you. I don't even think OsoDorado would vote for her and he thinks about Trump 24/7.

In this talk from 4+ months ago on Mackinaw Island MI, it is discussed whether she'd run as a 3rd Party candidate.

Here's my bet….
She will, so long as Trump wraps up the GOP ticket. It would be a suicide mission and Biden will win again.

Her policy positions are "mainstream far-right, tending towards neo-con on foreign policy". I would not want her as President, even though she does not embody some of the worst things about Trump.

At least she wouldn't call for a government insurrection, nor would she do Putin's bidding because she has investments in Russia and also let Vlad make a pee tape with her in it, but I remember the days when that would be a pretty low floor to qualify somebody to be POTUS.

I do respect her for calling out Trump.

After tRump there is nothing disqualifying for being POTUS. He came into office well known for being dumb as f@uck, a career criminal and a moral bankrupt. He has since added traitor, sexual abuser, classified documents thief and seditionist to that list and will soon add convicted felon.

Reformed???

No, I'm more like Liz, one who has abandoned the GOP, because it flipped into something neither of us recognize.

I like calling myself a Democrat these days, if I'm going to be classified in one of the two parties.

I don't think I've voted for a Republican since 1988.

Please don't call me a Republican - that's a dirty, ugly word.
Thanks.

Exactly. I don't think the antidote to half the country hating each candidate is a candidate hated by the whole country.

Liz Cheney is probably going to go the Paul Ryan route and cash in on corporate boards.

Liz Cheney would be an excellent replacement for Kamala. And joking aside, she'd have about the same chance of winning as Kamala.

I wouldn't vote for her but I respect her. She wouldn't blow tRump whereas her male colleagues lined up around the block to do so like they were buying Stones tickets.

Liz wouldn't have to win.
She just needs to run around telling people to vote for Biden instead of Criminal Drumpf.

She's said she would do that!

I don't know about Biden winning because if he does it's most likely because the middle conflicts are taking the spot light off Americas issues. And most Americans are sheep

Cheney writes about McCarthy in upcoming book:

McCarthy made the controversial trip to the South Florida resort just three weeks after the attack that left five people dead, generating outrage from political allies and adversaries alike who considered the visit inappropriately timed.

"Mar-a-Lago? What the hell, Kevin?"
Cheney asked the then-House Minority Leader from California following his visit, CNN reported in an excerpt from her book.

"They're really worried," McCarthy told Cheney, who at the time was the chair of the House Republican Conference. "Trump's not eating, so they asked me to come see him."

"What? You went to Mar-a-Lago because Trump's not eating?"
Cheney responded.

"Yeah, he's really depressed," McCarthy said, according to Cheney.

Gosh, maybe if Kevin had stayed in DC, trump would have died of a starvation protest of the 2020 election.
That would have been so sad.

That's like saying humans have 90% same DNA as cats (which we do).

Homo Trumpensis is a rare genetic mutation that Liz Cheney is working on having go extinct!!

Get the right things right, D.

I don't need Liz President. I DO need her to be successful in her current mission.

I'm listening to the Liz Cheney book.

She was tipped off about Jan 6 events from secret service staff who were with Trump.

Liz said that she had personal relationships with many secret service employees from her time as the VP's daughter. So, when Trump's detail witnessed him wanting to go to the Capitol, or other, Liz was tipped off about where to investigate for the J6 Committee.

I love it.

Cheney contrasted Trump's attempts to keep the presidency post election with Lincoln's actions long before election.

Abraham Lincoln, Tuesday, August 23, 1864 (Memorandum on Probable Failure of Reelection; endorsed by members of cabinet)

Description of document
A summer of costly military stalemate and widespread disaffection among War Democrats and conservative Republicans with the administration's policies toward slavery persuaded Lincoln that he would probably be defeated in the 1864 presidential election. Perhaps to bear witness to his determination to save the Union even if defeated, he wrote out this memorandum, indicating his fear that General McClellan, if elected, would be forced by members of his party to seek an armistice with the Confederacy. Such an armistice could be tantamount to recognition of Confederate independence. Lincoln's memorandum, which he asked the members of his cabinet to sign as witnesses without reading, amounts to a pledge to work in concert with McClellan before the latter's inauguration.

Quote:

Executive Mansion

Washington, Aug 23, 1864.

This morning, as for some days past, it seems exceedingly probable that this Administration will not be re-elected. Then it will be my duty to so co-operate with the President elect, as to save the Union between the election and the inauguration; as he will have secured his election on such ground that he can not possibly save it afterwards.

A. Lincoln

[Endorsed on Reverse:]
William H Seward
W. P. Fessenden
Edwin M Stanton
Gideon Welles
Edwd. Bates
M Blair
J. P. Usher

August 23. 1864.

Basically, "when we lose to McClellan, work with him on the transition, if it it means the war is lost and slavery continues".

This is questionable in my mind. Nobody should have written such a note of concession in regards to Hitler, for instance. Hitler was committing genocide against Jews, akin to slavery.
