Ambien is barely prescription - it's quite sensational to refer to it as a "downer." I am not familiar with Provigil, but

In terms of numbers, this equates to about 2k pills of each drug. Given how much travel the white house staff does (much of it at odd hours), this doesn't seem super unreasonable to me.

I'm guessing based on the numbers provided that it was used less than amphetamines and cocaine by the Trump admin.
