Some of the above constitutes quite reasonable criticism, IMO, but some less so.
To me, the biggest concern about VP Harris is not that she once took some fairly far left positions. Rather, that she changes all the time and I don't feel like she has any sort of cohesive ideology, other than trying to get elected. Now, does she need to have a "cohesive ideology" in order to be a good President? Probably not. A grab bag of moderately left solutions is at least on the right track. What she needs is to surround herself with good people and to be a good decision-maker.
There was definitely a feeling of euphoria when Biden dropped out: It was so depressing to see Trump literally dodge a bullet and there was Biden... gettin' COVID. And I think voters under 30 or so were having a really hard time relating to the two old candidates.
But that euphoria is going to die down. Let's see what else we got.
