Dude is from Florida and played for Ohio State.
He's probably tired of seeing all of the cats and dogs eaten by immigrants.

I agree. Trade him and rebuild. Perhaps they can win a Superbowl in 2050.

I'm sorry you were triggered by this. That hat was pure violence. I hope you're ok.

It is probably a good time to note that Brock Purdy is reportedly a "devout Christian." We all know what that means - another FASCIST.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brock_Purdy#Personal_life

The niners absolutely should trade every player who is conservative or MAGA. If they can't be traded, just cut them.

I'm sure they'll have a great team after the ideological purge. After all, politics >> football ability. In these dangerous times, we can't countenance differing political views.

This is the first thing that came to my mind.
A recently released study found that 34% of 2,000 former NFL players think they have CTE.

I knew Bosa was a MAGA guy and didn't really give a s*** because he generally didn't talk about his politics, which I thought was a smart strategy given the team that drafted him and the city they represent.

So I'm surprised he decided to pull this stunt now.

What a stunt! Bosa should be more professional like Steve Kerr and the Gold State Warriors. Despite their success, we still don't know what their politics are?

To be clear: the "stunt" was him jumping in and interrupting a TV interview to promote his politics. If he'd decided to speak thoughtfully about his beliefs and why he's voting this way or that (as Kerr does), it would be different. I wouldn't agree with him, but I would respect it more.

And again: ultimately I don't give a s*** what football players think about the election. I'm just surprised Bosa chose this moment to step into these waters after many years of not talking about politics.

You may enjoy this trivia that I came up with in baseball:

The aggregate dollar amount of Ohtani's and Yamamoto's contracts would fund the current A's team payroll for 22 seasons.

The Dodger's were able to come up with the scratch because:

Ohtani's deferred payout contract: He gets $2M/year for 10 years and then $68M for the last 10; and

Dodgers have a TV contract deal worth $8B.

No doubt he and his advisors have a tax plan Meanwhile, he's probably making $50M a year on endorsement deals.

But back to the original topic. Why is Bosa still on the Niners? This is outrageous. Very disappointed in the Niners owners, management and fans. Hopefully Antifa will mobilize to correct this abomination.

It IS disappointing of the 49ers management. Maybe Antifa will mobilize to remove you from your home. Your attitudes have been investigated and revealed your great grandparent immigrants came here without a permission slip.

Cool story bro.
It's a violation of the NFL Rulebook:

Rule 5, Section 4, Article 8 of the NFL rulebook states:

"Throughout the period on game day that a player is visible to the stadium and television audience (including in pregame warm-ups, in the bench area, and during postgame interviews in the locker room or on the field), players are prohibited from wearing, displaying, or otherwise conveying personal messages either in writing or illustration, unless such message has been approved in advance by the league office. Items to celebrate anniversaries or memorable events, or to honor or commemorate individuals, such as helmet decals, and arm bands and jersey patches on players' uniforms, are prohibited unless approved in advance by the league office. All such items approved by the League office, if any, must relate to team or league events or personages. The league will not grant permission for any club or player to wear, display, or otherwise convey messages, through helmet decals, arm bands, jersey patches, mouthpieces, or other items affixed to game uniforms or equipment, which relate to political activities or causes, other non-football events, causes or campaigns, or charitable causes or campaigns. Further, any such approved items must be modest in size, tasteful, non-commercial, and non-controversial; must not be worn for more than one football season; and if approved for use by a specific team, must not be worn by players on other teams in the league."

When Bill Maher says, "I can hate Trump but I can't automatically hate the people that support him", he's talking about stuff like this. Some 80 million Americans are going to vote for Trump. Unless they are doing something besides that to earn my enmity, I'm not gonna hate 'em.

The "stunt" seemed largely unobtrusive. If he leaves it at this, I'm glad he's being his authentic self. This is sort of the Bay Area equivalent of coming out of the closet. I wish some of the hundreds of Trump voters in my community (only 5-10%) would put Trump signs on their lawns, but they're too scared I guess. Maybe Bosa "coming out" will give them courage.

I still love my family that will vote for trump, including my dementia leaning mother.
I still like my Trump voting neighbors, who are nice people.

Being a fan of sports teams is about identifying with the players. I don't know Nick Bosa from Adam. I have never and will never talk to him. The only thing bonding me to pro athletes is little stupid stuff like where they are from, the uniform they wear, the color of their skin, etc.
Nick Bosa just provided me with a big Un-identifying thing that really matters to me.

Just like I'm willing to look beyond Red or Blue for political party affiliation and vote Issues, I'm able to look beyond team uniform in choosing who I root for.

You said "hate" in your quote. Good point. But sports fandom is about love and a united feeling of affiliation. And Bosa just wiped that out.
I want players I love, or at least don't disagree with on political issues or great import.
