That sounds too good to be true, are they really going to elect the independent leftist over Cuomo and the other bootlickers?

Nobody from California or New York is getting the nomination

I don't know, both Trump and Hillary got nominations from their respective parties for the 2016 run.

The US political landscape has changed dramatically in 8 years. The Dems are at an electoral college disadvantage unless they can win outside the coasts.

Florida, Georgia and North Carolina have coastlines!

Florida, Republican since 2012. Carolina, Republican since 2008. Georgia- Biden won in 2020, Republicans in 2008, 2012, 2016, 2024. But, yes, if they nominated someone from one of these states not CA or NY, they'd be more competitive

Somehow, Eric Adams is now NYC's only hope.

The more centrist Dems threw their weight behind Cuomo, which was a very stupid play given that he had to resign in disgrace as governor. Only electoral losses will wake up the leadership there, apparently.

I'm confused how this works. Guys like Yogi, Matt Taibbi and other Bernie Bros, angry at how Moderates derailed Bernie in 2016, became de facto Trump supporters by adopting all the MAGA arguments to bash Democrats and they turned a blind eye to Trump's conduct…..So…

….if the Progressives steamroll Moderates in 2026, what if Moderates take a page out of the Progressives' playbook and act like toddlers breaking their toys and de facto back the MAGA candidate? What goes around comes around? Karma's a b@itch?

I am admittedly asking this out of ignorance:

Didn't most all of the sexual harassment charges against Andrew Cuomo turn out to be baseless?

Seriously, "defund the police" is still a thing? I thought, by now, it was only a thing for politicians who wanted to self-immolate. Maybe second place only to publicly funded gender-affirming surgery for incarcerated transgendered people.

I honestly haven't followed any of the aftermath either. That said, the truth of the (multiple) allegations against Cuomo is separate from whether or not you should try to run him for office again.
