No doubt about it.
He does not appear to be a good person. That aside, he struck officers with a whip like device. He got 6 years. That seems a bit stiff.chazzed said:

Assault on an officer for a Black means the death penalty on the spot. And by chance if one makes it the police station,25 to life would be the sentence.

The guy we're discussing got 6 months in prison and 12 months supervised release. That's in line with your examples, perhaps even less than them.tequila4kapp said:
Some comparable recent examples:
An African American man who sucker punched a Portland cop in the back of the head, knocking him to the ground, during the 2021 riots / protests got 12 months. This was caught on video. He was released without bail post arrest. (Notice, no "immediate death penalty)
The migrants that attacked NYC cops - including kicking them while on the ground - were mostly offered plea deals between 6-12 months. This was caught on video. They were released without bail post arrest.
The NYC man caught on video attacking a cop by spraying him with a fire extinguisher while the cop was in his car hasn't been sentenced but was released pre-trial without bail.
Details matter - I don't know the particulars for every J6 assault on LEO a case - but it does appear some of these defendants got abnormally heavy punishments with the +/- 5 year sentences.
You have 3 posts on this thread. I don't see a link in any of them. You did reply to a post from chazzed with a link, but that was only about the soliciting a minor arrest.tequila4kapp said:
Interesting. I provided a link to many of the sentences. Most of the 'assault a LEO' type people got 4-6 years.
Reminder: Thom Tillis was pissed at Dems for suggesting Trump could pardon violent J6ers. A day before Trump pardoned violent J6ers https://t.co/rl3WzI7O3C
