It's downright SHOCKING that the mascot of the University of California, the home of the FREE SPEECH movement that originated in 1964 to force the university's administration to rescind a policy that prohibited political and social activism would call the offering of an OPINION to be "hateful" and "bullying".

The mascot that I know and love, that my parents know and love, that you know and love, would not support such blasphemy of the greatest fundamental right that our nation and our beloved university has ever stood for.

The mascot that I know and love does not approve of such bogus attacks on FREE SPEECH.

I'd be happy to never have you as a parent of one of my students. You'd be the type to email me 4 times a day complaining that your kid gets picked on when really they are the biggest issue in the classroom. Seen it 100 times throughout my career.

Breakdown of California Gas Taxes & Fees

State Excise Tax: 61.2 cents per gallon (effective July 1, 2025).

Federal Excise Tax: 18.4 cents per gallon.

Environmental Fees: Including Cap-and-Trade and Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS), these add roughly 23 to 37+ cents per gallon.

State/Local Sales Tax: Varies, but adds approximately 10-14 cents per gallon.

Underground Storage Tank Fee: ~$0.02 per gallon.
