Do you ever get the feeling this is how you lose control of a country? It is all so in the open and in plain sight that you think, "Am I'm just being paranoid?"
Then you start thinking Musk and his crew basically have access to all the computer systems that make our government run and we are just supposed to trust them to do the right thing and not use this access for any nefarious purpose?
What is the basis for trusting them?
How much of a science fiction stretch is it that the next Oval Office pressie that Musk is wearing a Speedo, surrounded by his 13 children, Trump is bound and gagged in his chair at the Resolute desk and Musk does not recite a list of demands, rather he simply announces how things are going to proceed.
Then you ask yourself, what are the safeguards preventing something that far fetched, comical and terrifying from happening?
No. Musk doesn't want to be President. He simply wants to Engineer society the same as he thinks up any of his other designs.
We all know, he's brilliant. But he's also dishonest, Machiavellian, and not to be trusted. He's using trump to acquire more power, so he can tinker. He doesn't care about the little people who get in his way. He's not concerned in the least with the most vulnerable among us.
To Musk, we are merely a system, like his PayPal, Tesla, SpaceX or Boring projects to be revised and produced.
We need him to stay in his lane.
Trump is equally using Musk, and Trump has the upper hand.
UNLESS! Unless Musk can ensnare Grump into a compromat situation of his own. Then they will be MAD at each other. Mutually Assured Destruction.
Because there are so many idiots among us, it is their world now, and we are just living in it!
