This is interesting because Trump's approval ratings are also down. His economic policies- Doge, tariffs, tax cuts - are not widely popular. A lot of his voters rely on government for aid/ services and buy stuff at Walmart, plus their taxes won't get cut

Everything is gonna be MAGArific!

Those Trump tariffs are gonna add so much to the U.S. Treasury coffers that we wont have to pay taxes anymore and in fact, Americans will be getting checks back from the Govt for $533 because of the DOGE cuts!

Movielover told me so.
Thank You President Trump!

MAGA!!!

Inflation expectations at a 3 decade high.
Thank You President Trump!

Consumers said they expect prices will climb at an annual rate of 3.5% over the next five to 10 years, according to the final February reading from the University of Michigan. The rate is the highest since 1995, based on data compiled by Bloomberg.

All five components of the index deteriorated, including a drop in buying conditions for big-ticket items. And more than half of consumers in the survey expect the unemployment rate to rise over the next year, the highest since 2020.

IMO this is another in a long line of Presidents misunderstanding their mandate. Trump got reelected because people were upset with Biden's economy and thought Trump could make prices come down. Instead he's pursuing the same-old-same-old Republican approach of slashing government services and delivering tax cuts to the wealthy. There was no majority asking for Paul Ryan's policies to return.

Well, I wouldn't say that TARIFFS are popular with most in the GOP.
By and large, they are for free trade.
But not Trump.

That Consumer Confidence number today was the biggest decline in 3.5 years since August 2021.
- 7 points

And given current prices and the Trump tariffs, inflationary expectations for the average consumer have now risen to 6.0% and up from 5.2% the month before.

There's no way he can blame the Federal Reserve Chairman for any kind of Recession.
Powell cannot lower rates in this pricing environment.

"In February, consumer confidence registered the largest monthly decline since August 2021," said Stephanie Guichard, Senior Economist, Global Indicators at The Conference Board. "This is the third consecutive month on month decline, bringing the Index to the bottom of the range that has prevailed since 2022. Of the five components of the Index, only consumers' assessment of present business conditions improved, albeit slightly. Views of current labor market conditions weakened. Consumers became pessimistic about future business conditions and less optimistic about future income. Pessimism about future employment prospects worsened and reached a ten-month high."

February's fall in confidence was shared across all age groups but was deepest for consumers between 35 and 55 years old. The decline was also broad-based among income groups, with the only exceptions among households earning less than $15,000 a year and between $100,000125,000.

He's an idiot.
His hack and slash was out of left field.
He campaigned on nicknames against opponents. He's a school bully with impenetrable argumentative skills. And people voted for that.

He has no master plan. He's just ****ing everything up and then combing through the ashes for stuff he wants.

He is a big ********.
